Ashley Owens has been a huge advocate for swimming as long as she can remember. She got her start swimming on a local swim team and continued swimming competitively into high school even swimming at a varsity level as just an 8th grader. While her competitive swimming career was cut short due to a spinal cord injury, in the time she did compete she acquired a wealth of knowledge in swimming and an understanding of what it takes to perform at optimum levels as an athlete. She has over 9 years of experience teaching swimming.

Christina Newbill has been in and around the water since she was 2. She is an excellent stroke coach and has earned a great reputation around the pool for her ability to teach young swimmers proper technique. She teaches private swim lessons on the side, and often has a waiting list. We are thrilled to have her as part of the Sudden Thunder coaching staff.
